DWS: Hostile to Taxpayers

In 1988, at age 22,
Deborah Wasserman-Schultz became an aide to Florida legislator Peter Deutsch and when he went on to the U.S. Congress in 1993 she ran and was elected to his seat in the Florida House of Representatives where she served until 2001. After a brief stint in the Florida Senate she again followed Peter Deutsch when he retired from the U. S. Congress and she was elected to his seat in District 20 (currently District 23) where she has been ever since. She also moonlights nowadays as the Democratic Party’s national chairman.

Wasserman-Schultz is yet another professional politician with no experience in the private sector or any of the industries or issues she is voting on.  It is no wonder why Congress makes so many mistakes and then makes them worse when they try to correct them. It is not only their ignorance of how the free market works but their personal motivation to do what is best for their careers –reelection is Job #1. So, doing what the lobbyists want often takes precedence over the Constitution and what is best for the country.
“…so proud to be a Democrat. Our candidates are the only ones committed to making college affordable, to raising the federal minimum wage, to protecting our seniors, to fixing the broken immigration system, and to addressing climate change…”

So wrote Wasserman-Schultz on her Facebook page in November 2015. No mention of how to accomplish such promises nor, of course, how pay for them.  The non-partisan Citizens Against government Waste (CAGW) called her their October Porker of the Month for ",,,exaggerating the effect of the failed economic stimulus program, making dubious claims about jobs numbers, and misleading the American people about the true economic picture.”  CAGW rating among her peers shows her having their lowest rating as “Hostile to Taxpayers.”

Without a dynamic growing economy the $19 trillion national debt will continue to grow and will be extremely difficult for our following generations to pay.  We’re leaving the world worse for our children than the way we inherited it.

The Club for Growth Scorecard, also non-partisan, scores votes of Congress as they affect the growth and vitality of the economy. By her votes our poster child Debbie shows no concern for the economy as she is rated 0 (zero!) –435th out of 435 House members of Congress!  The Club rates her as a “big-government, tax-and-spend politician.” None worse.

The non-partisan National Taxpayers Union (NTU)  rates U.S. Representatives and Senators on their actual votes that affect taxes, spending, and debt. DWS, as she is nicknamed, earns their lowest grade, an “F.” That grade goes with the title, Big Spender.

The conservative Heritage Action Scorecard gives DWS a lowly10% --not the lowest of the Florida delegation as Sen. Bill Nelson has that dubious distinction with 0%.

Given this record along with her leadership position in her party she can fairly be blamed for a large part of the poor economy, the annual deficits, the terrible national debt. We can find no socially redeeming positive value in any part of her record.  That makes her the perfect poster child for term limits on Congress.

The problem is the congress will not pass term limits on themselves –we’ve tried that. The Good News is that we can do it without the consent of congress as
U.S. Term Limits has a plan:
TLC for Congress -- a Term Limits Convention.  Article V of the U.S. Constitution provides an alternate means of proposing constitutional amendments not requiring a Congressional vote. It will be done via a convention of the states (not to be confused with a constitutional convention “con-con”).  U.S. Term Limits is a single issue non-partisan advocacy group.  Check it out

Please get involved and help to reform out government so as not to further overburden our children and grandchildren who have to pay the bills for what the professional politicians are spending and borrowing now. Our forefathers rebelled over “taxation without representation” and yet our elected Congress is taxing citizens yet unborn for their purposes today.

Go here  and see what you can do. Remember that nearly 80% of your fellow citizens agree on the need for term limits, a costless reform to get better qualified and better motivated citizen-legislators.

The chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Monday slammed the Republican Party's selection of Gov. Nikki Haley for its State of the Union response, calling it "appalling," according to a Post and Courier report.
"It's pretty clear that Nikki Haley is being chosen because the Republican Party has a diversity problem," Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (R-Fla.) said on a conference call. What? DWS is definitely bonkers.
Haley, who was born in South Carolina, is the daughter of immigrants from India. She will be delivering the GOP's official reponse to President Obama's final State of the Union Tuesday night.

I think Gov Haley would make a good Vice President with President Ted Cruz.
